ITINERARY
Day 1 - Melbourne to the Grampians NP
We follow the historic 'gold rush' trail breaking for brunch
(own expenses) at Ballarat/Beaufort and then continue on through
Victoria's grazing country to Halls Gap. After lunch (own expense)
we head to the largest cascading falls in Victoria at 'McKenzie
Falls' then hike to the top of the Pinnacle to enjoy
sweeping views of the Grampians NP. Taking our time we then
explore the Balconies and Reids Lookout; providing panoramic
scenery over the Victoria Valley to Lake Wartook. After a days
exploring relax and enjoy dinner and overnight accommodation
in the heart of the Grampians. (D)
Day 2 - Grampians NP to Melbourne via the
Great Ocean Road
This morning we head for the coast stopping at Logan's Beach
in Warrnambool for seasonal whale spotting and a view of
the mighty Southern Ocean. We travel along the Great Ocean Road
taking in scenic sights such as 'London Bridge' and the
'Bay of Martyrs'. Lunch is at Port Campbell (own
expense). We visit '˜Loch Ard Gorge' and hear amazing
stories of survival on this ship wreck coast. A purpose built
lookout provides uninterrupted views of the world renowned '12
Apostles'. Perhaps you'd like to view these amazing formations
from above - there's time for an optional helicopter flight
(own expense). We return to Melbourne via Pt Campbell and Colac,
arriving in the early evening. (B)

style may be located on different premises to dorm accommodation.
